Bethany Beach
Bethany Beach, Delaware
Bethany Beach was originally founded as a religious retreat more than 100 years ago. Many people still call this place Heaven. With the Delaware Seashore State Park to the north and the Little Assawoman Bay to the south, Bethany Beach is surrounded by protected land. What you will find here are single-family homes on quiet streets and cul-de-sacs. What you won’t find here are skyscrapers and large chain hotels that stretch along other beaches, such as Ocean City, Maryland. Bethany Beach offers small-town family friendly living at its best with regular concerts and entertainment featured from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend on the boardwalk bandstand in the center of town, the annual Fourth of July Parade, and the Boardwalk Art Festival.
